A Master Cherished

Seth Illusions#Magic Life

Hey guys! Have any of you ever wondered if magic was real? What I mean is, the kind of magic that we all see in the movies. That magic that binds all living things together. That ethereal energy that flows through us all. Guiding us, in ways we can barely notice. But impacting us beyond all comprehension. This cosmic will, this force, if you will; potentially giving it’s user unlimited power and knowledge…
Well, when I was a kid I totally thought it was out there. And yes, I am of course referring to the Star Wars movies. One of my most favorite characters being Yoda.
Yoda was the Grand Master Jedi. Older and wiser than anyone else in the entire series. He first appeared, in the second Star Wars movie back in 1980. The main character Luke Skywalker, was guided by the force spirit of Ben Kenobi to the Planet Dagobah to be trained as a Jedi Knight by the self exiled Yoda.
Frank Oz constructed the first puppet in the movie franchise and voiced the character in the first three movies he appeared. Later in the first prequel movie (the fourth in the series), he was recreated to look younger by Nick Dudman and his team. Then in the next two movies, Yoda was transformed from a regular animatronic puppet, to a full CGI character under the direction of Rob Coleman.
What made Yoda so special you ask? It was Jediism, which is a fictional philosophy/religion based on the balance of the force (living energy depicted as midichlorians) that surrounds all living things. It guides the Jedi’s life and actions towards the betterment of solitary life and peace, or self destruction and death.
In Star Wars, Yoda was over 900 years old. He was part of a mysterious species that as of yet, has not been revealed. The only other appearance of his particular species was in the first prequel (Phantom Menace) and her name was Yaddle.
In most of the Star Wars movies, Yoda was a teacher to young padawans (students) at the same time as being a member of the High Council of the Jedi Order (peacekeepers of the galaxy) before the Jedi Anakin Skywalker turned to the dark side of the force and exterminated all the students. This made him into Darth Vader. Possibly one of the most favored movie villains in all of cinema history. In opposition to him being of course, Yoda. This fictional character has been so coveted and cherished there has even been an actual religion created based on his philosophical teachings in the movies.
May the force be with you, always.
